Ellen J. Kennedy, Ph.D., is the founder and Executive Director of World Without Genocide, a human rights organization headquartered at William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul, MN which provides education to raise awareness about past and current conflicts and advocacy at local, state, and national levels for policies and legislation to protect innocent people, prevent genocide, prosecute perpetrators, and remember those whose lives have been affected by genocide. Through World Without Genocide, Ellen promotes Holocaust and genocide education in high schools, colleges, faith-based organizations, and civic groups and advocates with elected officials at city, state, and national levels. Kennedy was a professor at the University of St. Thomas for nearly twenty years and the Interim Director at the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies, University of Minnesota, for three years. == Education/Involvement == Kennedy received the following degrees: * Ph.D. Sociology, University of Minnesota * Ph.D. Marketing, University of Minnesota * M.A. Sociology, University of Minnesota * M.Ed.
